Music (Moombahton) Monday

I downloaded Dillon Francis' debut full-length album, Money Sucks, Friends Rule on October 28 as an early gift to myself and to fuel my birthday and Halloweekend.
The Verdict?
WOW.
Still not sick of the 12 track album although it is definitely different, but Dillon and his friends (DJ Snake, TJR, and Martin Garrix- to name a few) do not disappoint.

Francis collaborated with fellow Mad Decent label mates, Major Lazor, on We Make It Bounce,
but more surprisingly also recorded Love in the Middle of A Firefight with Brendon Urie from Panic at the Disco.
He has a talent for always keeping us guessing.

Francis also worked with Martin Garrix to produce Set Me Free after two studio sessions.
When asked about the album title, Francis told Billboard he and Garrix have instant creative chemistry despite their different styles.
He also mentioned "just hanging out" with Garrix's parents, making me laugh a little when thinking about the over 10 year age difference between the two.  Then I remember how good he is with kids.

In fact, his album reminds me of the many good things about Dillon Francis.

A few more examples:

He has always had a flair for acting:

When We Were Young (with Sultan & Ned Shepard):

Get Low (with DJ Snake)

He is arguably a literary genius and could make any spelling bee champions cower if they should think to challenge him:

What's That Spell (withTJR)

How many other people could come up with a style of music and name it Moombahton?

Aside from music, he also can apply his talents to culinary arts:

Not Butter

Now I just need to plan out the rest of my life around any upcoming tour dates.
